Counselling Service

Domestic violence and abuse service offer a counselling service free of charge – which is quite unusual in the world of ‘therapy’.

Our counsellors are all very experienced and trained to diploma level. As an organisation we work within the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists guidelines.

Referral to this part of our service is via the help line. You will then be contacted by a counsellor, and offered an appointment for an assessment. We have the use of venues in Teignbridge, South Hams and West Devon.

If, following the assessment, it feels appropriate to enter into therapy, dates and times will be discussed to suit you and the counsellor. Each session will last about an hour, and we offer a course of 12 sessions.

If you have any further questions about this part of our service, please call the help line.
