Domestic violence and abuse service is a registered charity (charity number: 296833), working with people who live in South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon.

We can support you if:

You are a victim or witness (past or present) of domestic violence and abuse

You are affected by, or concerned about someone else’s domestic violence and abuse

Our services include; 

Helpline (open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Wednesday 7- 9pm)  – Offering general support, risk assessment, safety planning, and information on available options.

Support Groups – Offering an opportunity for you to share issues and gain support from other people who may have had similar experiences.

Counselling – Offering twelve sessions of individual counselling

Pattern changing courses - An educational programe that teaches understanding of the affects of domestic violence and abuse.  We are currently running courses.

Children and Young people services – Offering support to children and young people (age 5 – 17) who have witnessed or have been a victim of domestic violence.

Support through the criminal justice system and the family court process.

Specialist support for victims who are at high risk from domestic violence and/or abuse.

Our aims: 

1.  To offer support, advice and information to anyone affected by domestic violence and abuse (physical, emotional, sexual or financial);

2.  To encourage victims of domestic violence and abuse to determine their own future, and to support them in achieving this;

3.  To educate and inform members of the general public and other organisations about all forms of domestic violence and abuse and what to do if they are working with domestic violence and abuse.
